As we celebrate Ronnie's life every day, we also mourn his tragic death on March 25, 2007. Since his death we have tried to do everything possible to ensure his legacy lives on in our hearts and in the minds of each and every person we can touch with our story.
There have been many words written about our son, brother, husband, uncle, nephew, son-in-law, grandson, grand-nephew, friend and especially dad. This page highlights the many memorial dedications for Ronnie, including:
National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial - Washington, DC
American Police Hall of Fame - Titusville Florida
Cranston High School West - Cranston, RI
Johnson & Wales University - Providence, RI
Rhode Island Veterans Home - Bristol, RI
US Coast Guard MSST 91111 - Anchorage, AK
US Coast Guard Station, Pt. Judith - Narragansett, RI
Rhode Island Freedom Monument - Cranston, RI
Garden of Heroes - Providence, RI
Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery - Exeter, RI
Tate Field/Hugh B. Bain School - Cranston, RI
While it is an honor to have so many memorials for Ronnie, please know that we would trade all of these in for just one moment with our son.
The last memorial at Tate Field on July 21, 2009 is the most important to us and took the most time to complete. It is the most important because it is about Ronnie, not PS3 Ronald A. Gill Jr, but about Ronnie Gill. This is what makes this one different. It is for the Ronnie that everyone here knew and loved.
